Les Enfants Sérieux is a contemporary circus company based in Ardèche, combining mât chinois, scratching, and clown.
In their way of performing, Les Enfants Sérieux take everything seriously, from the most profound and grave subjects to the most absurd nonsense.

The children who make up the company are Ilaria Romanini and Jaime Monfort Miralles.

​

Jaime and Ilaria met at the Académie Fratellini. Together they enjoyed bringing their first creations to life during various carte blanche events, always treating with irony themes such as the history of misogyny or the manipulation of humans by technology.
It was in these circumstances that the gestation of the company Les Enfants Sérieux began. Afterwards, the two artists started their professional collaboration with a creation for young audiences directed by the clown Cédric Paga, alias Ludor Citrik: Demain Hier. A clown and acrobatic show that humorously addresses life, from birth to death, and which continues to be performed today.

Today, the tour of Demain Hier continues after more than 150 performances, as does the tour of the first creation of Les Enfants Sérieux, Happy Apocalypse to you: an all-terrain clown show that celebrates life through the story of two eccentric characters and their tireless optimism in the face of all difficulties, including the apocalypse.

In May 2025, the latest project by Les Enfants Sérieux was born: DJ Sirius – an intergalactic DJ set. A musical journey through the stars where you, the audience on the dancefloor, are the protagonists.
