BELLE À MOURIR

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me who is the fairest of them all..." Who has never seen Snow White and her stepmother, the queen of complexes and appearances? Generations of girls are entirely shaped by these images, and I, among them, learned from a very young age that beauty is a challenge: a competition with oneself, but especially with others.
And I've always loved competitions!
With this creation I want to take on the challenge, to do everything to be the woman in the magazines, the woman of fashion. So I will tame, constrain, shape, master my body. Until the public asks itself “but why is she doing all this?”
Through comic writing, mainly choreographic and circus, I intend to highlight the ridiculousness of such a relentless pursuit of perfection. By showing these gestures, generally performed in the confined space of a bathroom, I want to transpose the intimate into the public space and make visible what usually remains hidden.
LET'S DARE TO OPEN THAT BATHROOM DOOR, TO DISCOVER THE PAIN-STAINED GRIMACE OF A WOMAN PULLING OUT HER CROTCH HAIR!
